Location: New York NY (Travel Assignment)
Shift: Day Shift (07:30 AM 04:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
Compensation: $68$72/hour (Travel Rate)
Schedule: 42.5 hours/week (5 days 8.5-hour shifts)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist / Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join a high-performing cardiac catheterization team. This role involves assisting physicians in both diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in a fast-paced high-acuity environment while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures (scrubbing circulating and monitoring)
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields instruments and cath lab equipment
• Monitor and accurately document hemodynamic data throughout procedures
• Operate imaging and interventional equipment in compliance with radiation safety protocols
• Assist with contrast administration under physician supervision
• Ensure proper patient positioning and safe transfers
• Provide patient care and support pre- intra- and post-procedure
• Maintain equipment readiness and perform routine quality checks
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflow
• Adhere to infection control regulatory and safety standards

Preferred Procedural Experience

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
• Hands-on scrubbing experience in a Cath Lab (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Familiarity with interventional cardiology techniques

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab or related cardiovascular experience (preferred)
• At least 1 year of scrubbing experience in a cardiac cath lab setting (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Interventional Cardiology
  • Hemodynamic Monitoring
  • Cardiovascular Anatomy & Physiology
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced high-acuity clinical environment

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology Radiologic Technology or a related field
  OR
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Preferred
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) Preferred
