Qualifications
The purchasing courier provides transportation services for the hospital and its affiliates including Transportation of employees patients lab reports specimens medical records x-rays mail supplies Packages etc.
Responsibilities
- TECHNICAL TASKS
- Must be able to follow simple written or verbal instructions
- Load unload transport and deliver materials and passengers between the hospital and various locations within prescribed timetables using appropriate lifting or moving equipment as needed
- Assembles reports and documents daily
- Participates in maintaining the vehicle in good clean working order.
- Trains and orients employees as required

- Demonstrates a complete understanding of all policies and procedures concerning the responsibilities of the position
- Without affecting the quality of work demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy when choosing the appropriate course of action
- Always brings priority items and/or usual problems or situations to the attention of the appropriate authority

- Deals professionally and courteously with customers while remaining tactful polite and friendly
- Conveys accurate and timely information to new and existing employees
- Consistently attempts to understand the needs of others
- Other duties as assigned
- Consistently performs 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values Service and Quality.
Qualifications
- 5 years of good driving experience: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and zero DUI convictions or reckless driving convictions; periodic motor vehicle/ driving record checks may be obtained throughout employment
- High School or equivalent
- Valid LA drivers license (or must obtain one within probationary employment period if coming from out of state)
