Position: CAD Administrator Philippines
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific time (11:00 PM to 8:00 AM PHT)
Salary Range : $1.500 to $2.100 USD - Depending on experience

We are seeking a talented Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to enhance our team working remotely to align with North American time zones.
Key Responsibilities
The CAD Admin role is a remote-based role supporting utility-scale solar projects. The CAD Administrator serves as the technical backbone of the engineering design environment responsible for the integrity standardization and optimization of our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems. This role works closely with engineering and project management to ensure that our engineering teams can operate with maximum efficiency through robust data management rigorous standards enforcement and seamless system administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
CAD Governance & Standards Enforcement:
Develop implement and enforce CAD standards across all projects including naming conventions layer structures parameter control title blocks and drawing formats ensuring consistency scalability and compliance with internal and client requirements.
Template Development & Management:
Design standardize and maintain part assembly and drawing templates aligned with current engineering practices enabling efficient model creation and uniform documentation output.
CAD Data & Vault Administration:
Administer CAD data management systems such as Autodesk Vault including file structuring lifecycle configuration version control and user access permissions to ensure secure and traceable data handling.
Revision & Lifecycle Control:
Establish and maintain revision control protocols enforcing clear separation between Work-In-Progress (WIP) and release data and ensuring traceability of all design changes throughout the product lifecycle.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide advanced day-to-day CAD support resolving software modeling and data management issues to maintain operational efficiency and minimize project disruptions.
User Onboarding & Training:
Configure CAD environments for new users and deliver structured training on standards workflows and system usage to ensure rapid integration and compliance with organizational practices.
Documentation & Process Management:
Develop and maintain comprehensive CAD procedures standards manuals and workflow documentation to support consistency knowledge retention and audit readiness.
Quality Assurance & Compliance Auditing:
Conduct systematic audits of CAD models and drawings to verify compliance with standards data integrity and adherence to project-specific requirements.
IT Systems Coordination:
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system reliability including backup strategies data security software deployment and infrastructure stability for CAD and data management platforms.
Engineering Change Management (ECO/ECN):
Administer engineering change processes ensuring accurate documentation controlled implementation of changes and full traceability across all affected CAD data and project deliverables.
Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Degree in Engineering Design Technology or a related technical field.
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk software (Inventor AutoCAD Vault Professional).
- Proven experience in CAD administration and PDM/PLM system management.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical workflows into coherent documentation and training.
Preferred
- Experience in utility-scale solar renewable energy or electrical construction
