We are seeking a visionary Trade Marketing Manager with a strategic mentality focused on results passionate energy and the ability to craft and evolve the trade marketing teams structure and harmonies with key partners (customers suppliers IP license partners). This role is critical in shaping the future of our brand across LATAM challenging the status quo and embracing out-of-the-box thinking. With a focus on excellence in execution youll bring our brand to the next level at points of sale across all channels.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Craft and implement winning strategies to grow our business across various channels and customers. Ensure a robust support plan to develop and address all audiences consistently (pre-school boys girls adults and shopper) across channels. Envision and develop robust joint commercial plans with long-term partnerships and offer a better shopping experience at every point of sale. Define realistic and ambitious critical metrics by account while addressing new opportunities of distribution and recruitment by customer.

  • Retail activation & tentpole leadership: Exhibit strong leadership and passion to shape detailed trade marketing support plans for company tentpoles in MX and Brazil driving brand differentiation both in point of sale and on-line. Align plans by channel and customer with all key collaborators briefing suppliers to bring innovative ideas for improving conversion in POS.

  • In-store brand presence: Be a subject matter expert on the global visibility platform and engagement tools implemented across stores. Leverage customers capabilities to develop customized plans and expand reach. Develop strategies to fortify and improve key brand fundamentals across channels. Bring out-of-the-box ideas to improve conversion rates implement effective promotional mechanics and support customer events. Stay on the edge of the industry with innovative strategies.

  • Data-Driven Strategy: Champion shopper data and insights integrating them into the GTM plan to enhance retail activation returns on investment.

  • Alignment Creation: Forge unique alliances with IP partners for theatrical releases and content improving reach scale and impact with excellence in execution.

  • Test and Learn: Implement test and learn initiatives to explore new ideas and strategies ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation in our approach. Explore ideas of expanding the portfolio in each channel.

  • Market Insight: Stay attuned to the competitive landscape and market trends bringing fresh ideas to reach more shoppers and gift givers. Constantly challenge the status quo to maintain a leading presence.

  • Budget Management: Handle budget tracking flawlessly identifying productivity and optimization opportunities for each program.


Do your part in our team succeeding

The team is split into Brand Marketing Trade Marketing and Digital Marketing. This position falls within the Trade Marketing area and is a full-time position. The role reports to the LATAM Sr. Trade Marketing Manager and has no direct reports.

The successful candidate will be accountable of several top accounts and will lead strategic projects for trade marketing to foster the teams productivity and to achieve a broader impact within the LATAM BU. It is a critical role focused on right planning and execution with excellence. This position plays a critical role to succeed in the continuous enhancement of the LEGO Groups brand footprint.


Do you have what it takes

  • Experience: A few years of experience as manager within a high-impact consumer goods sports entertainment company or similar experience working for a large brand. Proven record of developing a brand within a channel or large customer (grocery department toy specialist) behind innovative and customized trade and shopper marketing projects. Consistent track record in strategy development and implementation of projects to drive demand with results provided.

  • Critical skill: Team Leadership Broad impact across areas is expected. Influence others to achieve team objectives. Be a driver of differentiated initiatives and proactive in bringing recommendations to keep winning within a cluttered environment. Ability to lead a multifunctional team towards a common goal. Foster a culture of constant transformation and challenge the status quo to stay ahead in the industry.

  • Identify strong examples of the leadership playground behaviors: bravery focused and curiosity.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • A very strong and agile collaborator across areas to effectively steer a wide range of partners.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large data sets to distill insights.

  • Strong organizational influence that energizes a team (not only with the most close colleagues) and drives action with agility.

  • Overall project management skills with ability to prioritize deliverables and adjust with agility.

  • Should show strong determination experience in facing challenging situations and having positive turnaround results.

  • Agency experience and/or agency/suppliers leadership skills are highly desirable.
