CAD Technician or Mechanical CAD Designer (mfx)

We are looking to fill the position of Technical Draftsman / CAD Draftsman (m/f/d) as soon as possibleinitially on a one-year fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of 2D drawings and simple 3D models based on clearly defined design specifications
• Derivation of part assembly and installation drawings from existing CAD models
• Application and implementation of standards tolerances fits surface finishes and manufacturing specifications according to given requirements
• Maintenance and updating of CAD data drawing revisions and related bills of materials
• Support in processing and documenting design changes in accordance with internal approval processes
• Support with technical documentation and the structured filing of drawings and CAD data
• Obtaining quotations for sample and prototype parts based on clearly defined technical specifications

Profile

• Completed technical training e.g. as a Technical Drafter Technical Product Designer or a comparable qualification
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical drawings in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical environment
• Confident use of the 3D CAD system SolidWorks and good knowledge of deriving technical drawings
• Knowledge of standards tolerances fits surface finishes and manufacturing specifications
• Structured accurate and reliable working style
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to accurately implement design specifications in drawings and documentation
• Experience handling bills of materials drawing revisions and change management processes
