About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our General Surgical ward on a part time basis (a rotating 24/7 roster including AM PM and night shifts)to deliver high patient quality care.This is an excellent opportunity to develop versatility in your skill set working within a surgical ward that covers surgical patients from Urology Colorectal and General Surgery case mix.

With 22 operating theatres Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including but not limited to 24/7 Emergency Care Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastic Surgery ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.

As an Enrolled Nurse - Surgical your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver safe researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
- Administer medications according to state law and organisation policy
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
Essential Criteria:
Authority to Work in Australia
Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
Working with Children check (if relevant)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Minimum 12 months acute surgical experience
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
