Job Summary:
The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for receiving organizing and distributing inventory and supplies to various resort departments. This role ensures accurate record-keeping proper stock rotation and adherence to safety and quality standards supporting the resorts seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive inspect and verify incoming deliveries for quantity quality and accuracy.
- Organize and maintain storeroom inventory ensuring items are properly labeled and stored.
- Distribute supplies and products to departments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas following safety guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
- Assist with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Operate inventory management systems to track inventory movements and maintain records.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling and storing products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in inventory or storeroom operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory software or systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand walk and move throughout the storeroom and resort property for long periods.
- Regularly required to lift carry push or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend stoop reach and climb ladders as needed.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g. walk-in refrigerators dry storage areas).
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- $18.50 per hour
