Job Title: Phlebotomist (Full-Time Day Shift Monday to Friday)
Location: Mauston WI
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift Schedule: MondayFriday (No weekends)
Shifts vary between: 5:00 AM 2:00 PM and 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to support a clinical laboratory team. The role involves collecting blood specimens ensuring accurate processing and maintaining high standards of patient care safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients across all age groups
• Properly label process and transport specimens to the laboratory
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Follow all infection control safety and HIPAA guidelines
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear explanations to reduce anxiety
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after blood collection
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory and clinical staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Less than 1 year of phlebotomy experience (entry-level candidates welcome)
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work early morning shifts and adapt to schedule variations
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (Meditech a plus)
