Job Summary
Berwick Academy a PK-12 coeducational day school located in Southern Maine seeks a Middle School Physical Education Teacher. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching physical education as well as the flexibility to work with students ranging in age from 10 to 14. A qualified candidate will show strong evidence of exceptional teaching and a keen understanding of the developmental needs of a range of students. Berwick seeks candidates with a degree in physical education.
A collaborative teaching approach and instructional leadership skills among peers are also hallmarks of a successful candidate. Candidates can expect to teach 6th 7th and 8th grade classes in our Middle School as well as helping with advising. Candidates who are able to coach are also of interest. Particular sports of need include: ice hockey skiing rowing field hockey and lacrosse.
This position begins in the 2026-27 academic year.
