You independently operate and maintain at least one process equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety quality cost delivery sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

Nature and Scope
Control the storage inventory and usage of salvage for the Halls Processing. Provide general area cleaning throughout the Halls Processing area.
Major/Essential Responsibilities
Collect salvage from processing and hopper loading storage areas and either transfer it to the salvage preparation area or the salvage storage area.
Ensure all salvage is properly identified and covered at all times.
Weigh and report (WIP) tray salvage from all cooking lines. Melt salvage prepare solution and operate the system controls on the Base Sugar Sugar Free Breezers and Liquid Centres salvage systems.
Perform testing on salvage solutions to ensure correct solids pH and acidity.
Monitor and participate in the removal and set up of the carbon tower.
Work with line processor and team leader to ensure salvage dosage/usage is maximized to maintain minimal salvage inventory levels.
Complete and document housekeeping requirements on a by shift basis (Reference salvage/cleaner shift housekeeping checklist).
Complete all required documentation e.g. salvage batch sheets.
Operate equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Formula and Process Instructions and Working Instructions.
Effectively participate in all group activities through effective communications and overall group performance.
Assist the Processor B with the removal of the trough salvage trays.
Knowledge and Skills

High School Diploma or Equivalent-
- Experience / Skills
Provided with up to 1 month on-the-job training
Possess required Work Key scores
Able to learn and apply additional training such as SPC CI Action Cycle etc.
Ability to learn and apply additional training such as SPC CI Action Cycle etc.
Must operate the following salvage equipment to produce product within specification: dissolving tanks buffer tanks holding tanks weigh scales pumps temperature gauges testing equipment (acidity pH solids).Will also be required to operate power walkie.
Must have mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform running adjustments to equipment/product to ensure optimum quality and output.
Must have the ability to read comprehend and follow complex instructions.
Must be willing to share job knowledge/skills with others.
Must plan and organize own daily activities.
Must observe all safety rules practices and procedures in the performance of duties.
Must maintain quality specifications at all times.
May be required to assist with completion of paperwork.
Effort
Physical Effort:
Ø Work normally requires a high level of physical effort in bending lifting and manual dexterity.
Ø Ability to lift and carry 25 kilograms of tray salvage
Mental Effort:
Ø Work normally requires a high level of mental effort in reading problem solving handling multiple demands and repetitive tasks amid constant interruptions and distractions.
Working Conditions
Ø Generally works in a manufacturing plant environment with varying levels of noise and with the requirement to wear company mandated uniform/safety gear such as safety shoes hair/beard net lab coat etc.

Salary and Benefits:
The expected annualized salary range for this position is $45128.00 to $68630.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience skills education and addition to base salary this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.Mondelez also offers several generous employee benefits (some subsidized or fully paid for by the company) including health insurance wellness and family support programs life and disability insurance retirement savings plans paid leave programs education related programs and enhanced vacation and holiday entitlements.
