Job Summary
Job Summary:
Administratively responsible for the burn program/center. Work in conjunction with the Burn Center
Director to organize the program and all systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach throughout
the continuum of burn care.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate services for burn education
Creation of policies and procedures as they relate to burn care
Monitor and communicate with the organization on Burn Center Director about patients who have
been refused
Direct and actively participate in the burn center performance improvement program
Liason with other healthcare facilities and regional burn centers
Specifications:
Experience:
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
Two or more years experience as registered nurse with experience as a nurse in a burn center working full time in the role of Burn Program Manager or Two or more years experience in acute burn care and six months or more managerial experience.
Education:
Minimum Required: BSN or Bachelors Degree required. Must show evidence of educational preparation within a minimum of 16 hours of burn related continuing education per year.
