Occupational Therapist Hand Therapy
Job Summary
The North Liberty Hospital department of Rehab Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to specialize in hand therapy. This candidate will administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to an orthopedic outpatient setting.
- Provide quality patient care evaluation assessment and treatment appropriate for patients needs. Assignment will involve hand and upper limb rehabilitation including fabrication of customized splints in an outpatient setting.
- Evaluate and instruct patients in home treatment programs
- Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner
- Participate in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommend opportunities for improvement in service quality
- Attend and participate in educational programs and provide educational experiences as assigned
- Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff students and the public
Performs special projects and tasks as assigned
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: This role requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts within clinic hours (7:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. MondayFriday) which may vary based on staffing needs.
Pay Grade: 06 Highlights:

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required
Entry level experience in occupational therapy in an outpatient setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Licenses/ Certifications:
Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required
Desirable Qualifications:
1-3 years experience in Occupational Therapy
1-3 years experience in the rehabilitation of the upper limb with emphasis on the wrist and hand including fabrication of customized splints
1-3 years experience in evaluation and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders
Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
