Job Summary

Sulis hospital is a leading private hospital in the area and is wholly owned by the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As well as private clients Sulis is also seeing increasing numbers of NHS patients and is growing fast with ambitious initiatives such as the new NHS diagnostics and orthopaedics facilities which officially opened in the June 2025.

We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance Team to support the growth in business. The posts would suit individuals looking to progress within accounting/wide range of accounting areas to be involved as the finance team is relatively small.

The successful candidate will support the budget setting and budget management meetings the month end and year end process and look for and recommend efficiency savings. The post reports directly to the Associate Director of Finance and will be expected to develop strong links with both the Business Intelligence team financial services team and Unit leads for departments within the hospital.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and an awareness of commercial accounting balanced with the ability to work in a complex NHS/private environment.

We are looking for candidates who are fully qualified accounting accreditation. ACCA/CIMA or equivalent or working towards the final stages.

Full time 37.5

On-site at least 4 days a week

You will need to have:

Excellent communication skills including explaining financial concepts to non-financial staff.

Advanced IT and Excel skills including analysis of large amounts of data;

Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workload in a busy environment

Ability to work independently identifying priorities and adapting flexibly to manage these.
