About the Role
Do you have a sound knowledge of commissioning quality assurance and care markets and will be able to hit the ground running in this busy but rewarding role You will lead manage and direct the service responsible for the commissioning of external provision of adult social services..
Due to the substantive postholder securing a role within the A&C Department to lead on the CQC Improvement Programme we have an exciting opportunity to appoint to a temporary role ofHead of Service Commissioning & Quality as a 12-month secondment
Whilst the role is for a 12 month period there is scope to look at the current operations and make some changes as you see fit. It is very much an opportunity to make an impact and gain valuable experience in a crucial A&C / ASC role.

About you
- Substantial adult social care experience and a track record of delivery at a policy or operational management level
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of strategic commissioning contract management market shaping and quality assurance framework development
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership across multiple areas
- Advanced theoretical practical and procedural knowledge of social care policy legislation policy and best practice
- Proven ability to lead partnership work with carers colleagues and a variety of external agencies
- Understanding of an ability to apply national local developments and change to develop medium and long term strategies
- Able to work with complex information to provide person-centred solution focussed and resource efficient options and to review performance against targets set
