The Role
Reporting to the Manager of Design and Infrastructure this position is responsible for implementing and leading special projects including bridges and culverts; CIP lining; flood mitigation; Inflow & Infiltration programs; the Municipal Infrastructural Asset Management program for core assets; capital planning as well as Sewer Water Modelling.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related work experience.
The successful candidate should possess the following experience knowledge and competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal engineering
- Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships other departments to gather and share information
- Experienced in contract administration of Municipal projects
- Skilled in design drawings and specifications along with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Knowledge in hydraulic and hydrologic modelling
