Job Summary
Summary
Under the supervision of the department food service production manager is responsible for preparation of covering a single food shift (The Learning Center). Prepares and cooks food for assigned area of responsibility ensuring high standards of quality food and presentation. Plans varied menus estimates weekly needs and orders food supplies and equipment. Maintains and follows department and sanitary guidelines.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification Registration & Licensure
None required.
Experience
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
Preparation of food both hot and cold following departmental and sanitary standards.
Prepares and orders daily production amounts.
Completes sanitation and housekeeping activities.
Utilizes departmental equipment operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to all hospital department and regulatory policies and procedures including Hazard Analysis
Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards.
Actively attends departmental meetings.
