The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and inspirational Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving Roman Catholic Faith Academy. In this role you will help students master the universal language of mathematics within a community that values the harmony between faith and reason preparing them to be ethical and logical thinkers in a complex world.

Core Responsibilities

1. Mathematical Delivery: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) fostering a classroom environment where students develop resilience in problem-solving and logical deduction.

2. Faith Integration: Supporting the academys ethos by participating in the liturgical life of the school and encouraging students to reflect on how mathematical principles reflect the order of creation.

3. Curriculum Mastery: Delivering lessons that cover the full breadth of the curriculum from geometry and trigonometry to algebraic manipulation and statistical analysis.

4. Diagnostic Assessment: Using data-driven insights to identify student misconceptions in numerical reasoning and providing targeted feedback that helps every learner excel.

5. Enrichment Leadership: Coordinating extracurricular activities such as the UKMT Maths Challenge or coding clubs to stretch the most able mathematicians and foster a love for the subject.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who combines academic excellence with a commitment to the holistic development of young people. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.

• Instructional Clarity: The ability to explain complex theorems and abstract concepts in a way that is accessible engaging and rigorous.
