We are seeking a dedicated and inspirational Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving Roman Catholic Faith Academy. The Department & Ethos

Core Responsibilities
Mathematical Delivery: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) fostering a classroom environment where students develop resilience in problem-solving and logical deduction.
Faith Integration: Supporting the academys ethos by participating in the liturgical life of the school and encouraging students to reflect on how mathematical principles reflect the order of creation.
Curriculum Mastery: Delivering lessons that cover the full breadth of the curriculum from geometry and trigonometry to algebraic manipulation and statistical analysis.
Diagnostic Assessment: Using data-driven insights to identify student misconceptions in numerical reasoning and providing targeted feedback that helps every learner excel.
Enrichment Leadership: Coordinating extracurricular activities such as the UKMT Maths Challenge or coding clubs to stretch the most able mathematicians and foster a love for the subject.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who combines academic excellence with a commitment to the holistic development of young people. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
Instructional Clarity: The ability to explain complex theorems and abstract concepts in a way that is accessible engaging and rigorous.
Respect for Ethos: A willingness to support and contribute to the Catholic life and values of the school.
Analytical Rigor: A commitment to maintaining high standards of numeracy and ensuring that mathematical literacy is promoted across all year groups.
