Chemistry Teaching Role in a Rural School Setting
A rural secondary school in Norfolk is seeking to appoint a Chemistry Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a school that serves a local community and places emphasis on steady academic progress and strong classroom routines.

About the Role
You will be responsible for teaching Chemistry across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Lessons will focus on developing understanding of core chemistry topics such as atomic structure bonding reactions acids and alkalis energetics and organic chemistry.
Practical laboratory sessions are a regular feature of the curriculum giving students the opportunity to apply their learning through structured investigations.
You will support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations helping them develop confidence with calculations experimental methods and written responses.
You will also contribute to general Science teaching at Key Stage 3 as required.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Chemistry across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons covering core Chemistry content
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations
Assess student work and provide structured feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Maintain safe laboratory environments
Contribute to departmental planning and shared teaching resources

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
Experience teaching Science at secondary level

Good classroom management skills

Experience teaching A-Level Chemistry
Experience supporting GCSE and A-Level examination preparation
