Position: Systems Engineer REQ #M5896Location: Santa Clara CA Duties: Design and implement real-time control algorithms for mechanical systems for semiconductor capital equipment including motion temperature pressure and/or RF control systems with limited supervision. Complete definition of control system requirements and ensure designs meet market requirement specifications (MRS). Coordinate with project marketing management and cross-functional teams to understand system software requirements. Conduct complex studies to determine the feasibility costs or performance benefits of new designs. Create dynamic models of advanced precision mechanical systems for design and simulation of model-based control strategies. Optimize models for deployment for real-time control on embedded hardware with limited supervision. Develop highly reliable maintainable and testable code and documentation for a variety of software projects. Research select and apply actuators sensors communication technologies and control devices for motion temperature pressure and/or RF control in semiconductor capital equipment. Conduct experiments to evaluate control performance and robustness. Perform and coordinate tests per internal as well as industry-accepted reliability specifications. Debug embedded hardware and software problems. Make suitable design or operational changes as required. Publish engineering reports documenting design details and qualification test results.
