Job Summary

Core Responsibilities
RVTs use their skills and education to the highest extent of their
abilities. RVTs must have strong leadership skills and the ability to teach their fellow
veterinary technician team. These accomplished individuals have proven proficiency
and talents across multiple platforms such as:
Must keep and maintain a current RVT License.
Work directly with MD and DVMs to ensure proper patient care and outcomes.
Will be directly involved with any disciplinary actions and performance
evaluations for their respective department staff.
Develop and implement policies and procedures.
Oversee equipment maintenance and inventory.
Implement staff training and development programs.
Creating and managing staff schedules.
Work with other leads and admin staff to promote the hospital core values and
aiding in its success.
Provide feedback and work to develop performance improvement plans.
Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.
Ensure DEA OSHA and AAHA compliance.
Be able to resolve conflict in a professional manner.
Boosts staff morale and creates a positive and healthy work environment.
Accurately and effectively communicate all concerns and issues within all
appropriate departments.
Oversee hospital inventory and ordering protocols.
Job Requirements
Must have a valid Registered Veterinary Technician Certificate issued by the
California State Board of Examiners in Veterinary Medicine.
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience.
A proven track record of leadership mentorship or supervision.
You will be working in a progressive and fast-paced environment must be a
positive team player and excellent communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be well-versed in animal restraint.
