Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the sales team from beginning to end of the sales cycle and assisting the configuration of companys existing patented technology-associated optical MEMS products including optical switches variable optical attenuators high-power optical components optical polarization and time controls PbS/PbSe infrared detectors fiber lasers novel optical MEMS devices and Raman spectrometers. Assist departments of R&D and Engineering in product improvements and new product offerings necessary to meet customer needs and win more deals for the company. Specifically

  • Through interdisciplinary collaboration with departments of Sales R&D QA and Engineering facilitate technical discussions with prospective customers consult on design decisions and assist in guiding complex project(s) through the sales cycle to a successful project handoff to operations.
  • Respond to functional and technical inquiries about the applications of the companys patented technologies and provide key technical support.
  • Work with the QA department on complaints/RMAs understand the implications of work and make recommendations on product improvement upgrading and launching of new products to the departments of R&D and Engineering.
  • Coordinate technical training with customers during customer meetings and e Provide technical support to the Sales department through sales cycle.
  • Develop present and respond to proposals for customers specific requirements. Take orders and coordinate the development manufacturing testing shipping and closing of orders.
  • Stay current on industry news and trends cutting-edge optical MEMS products services competitors relevant information about legacy existing and emerging technologies and the latest product-line developments.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Optics Photonics or MEMS plus 18 months of working experience.
  • 18-month working experience must be in the optical MEMS field or a closely related field as a QA Engineer R&D Engineer MEMS Engineer Optics Engineer or a closely related position.
  • 18-month working experience must involve hands-on experience in optical MEMS wafer testing optical MEMS chip die inspection and optical MEMS chip characterization test.
