Role Summary:
The Junior Agency Operator will be working as part of a team responsible for providing 24 hours a day 7days a week on-call service to our Marine Clients to ensure the safe and smooth turnaround of allappointed vessels within the jurisdiction of the ports.
The job calls for a high sense of responsibility and reliability where the person will be responsiblefor managing vessel requirements booking relevant services issuing all relevant shippingdocumentation undertaking vessel boarding and perform any other tasks that relate to the job. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Vessel Operations:
- Manage pre-arrival documentation between vessel port/terminal and authorities.
- Arrange port services for berthing and sailing including pilots towage and lines.
- Update Principals and stakeholders on berthing/sailing prospects and vessel progress in port.
- Coordinate vessel husbandry services including crew changes visitors spares provisions Cash to Master bunkers fresh water and garbage off-load.
Customer Service:
- Deliver high-quality ships agency services and ensure efficient vessel turnaround.
- Arrange and confirm operational requirements promptly.
- Board vessels where required and liaise daily with clients port services terminals and suppliers.
- Attend regular meetings with ports terminals and suppliers.
- Ensure accurate and timely shipping documentation.
Operating System and Data Integrity:
- Maintain accurate vessel files and system records within ISS internal systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISS LRQA customer standards and legal requirements.
- Monitor and meet procedural KPIs.
- Follow procedures and identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
HSSE Health Safety Security and Risk (mandatory requirements):
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and the ISS HSSE Management System.
- Assess HSSE risks implement controls and report accidents incidents and near misses.
- Ensure the health safety and security of yourself and others affected by work activities.
- Carry out additional duties within the role as required by the Line Manager following ISS systems and Standard Operating Procedures.
Who You Are:
- Recent graduate interested in commencing a career in Maritime Industryhowever any previous experience working with port agencies is desirable.
- Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent communications skills both oral and written.
- Willing to travel to ports across the region which fall under the port office jurisdiction.
- Competent user of the Microsoft Office including Outlook Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of customs andimmigrations procedures desirable.
- Additional language skills desirable.
- Valid Spanish drivers licence.
