Job Summary
Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) OB/GYN
Location: Los Angeles CA
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts between 06:00 AM 06:00 PM)
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a strong background in OB/GYN to support a busy outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will be skilled in womens health procedures and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with OB/GYN procedures and patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vitals injections and specimen collection
- Support patient education and follow-up care instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Float to nearby clinic locations as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Active California LVN license
- Minimum 2 years of LVN experience including at least 1 year in OB/GYN
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC required)
- IV certification and blood withdrawal skills
- Hands-on experience with the following procedures:
- Pap smears (PAP)
- Colposcopy (Colpo)
- LEEP procedures
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
- IUD insertions and removals
- Nexplanon procedures
- Non-Stress Tests (NST)
