Job Summary
As an Estimator II here at Honeywell you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects. This role is essential in ensuring the success and profitability of our bids and supporting the growth of our organization.
In this role you will impact the accuracy and competitiveness of our project bids ensuring that they align with customer expectations and company standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and provide detailed cost estimates that support our business objectives.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop cost estimates
- Analyze project plans specifications and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential risks
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor materials equipment and subcontractor costs
- Review and validate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
- Support the estimation process for medium to large-scale projects
- Assist in bid review meetings and present cost estimates to senior management
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 2 years of experience in estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and costs
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- Ability to interpret project plans specifications and drawings
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
