Our Maintenance Technician on 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm) is a skilled position responsible to install maintain and repair machinery equipment physical structures pipe and electrical systems.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Our woodmill is located in McClure PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with daily start-up operations

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment

Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance technicians to diagnose problems or repair machines

Clean and lubricate shafts bearings gears and other parts of machinery; change saw blades dowler knives and chipper knives

Learn to install and repair electrical apparatus; such as transformers and wiring and electrical and electrical components of machinery and equipment

Lay out assemble install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges valves pressure regulators and related equipment

Repair and maintain physical structure of buildings; fabricate and repair counters benches partitions and other wooden structures

Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

Install program or repair automated machinery and equipment

Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe grinder drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts jigs fixtures and tools

Work and communicate in a professional manner with all business associates

Must comply with all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Follow all policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide.

Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Lock-Out/Tag-Out certification.

Pass and maintain current industrial forklift & man lift certifications.

Personal protective equipment.

The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work pushing/pulling and fast paced assembly. The employee is occasionally required to walk climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50/55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
