Job Summary

Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago New York Boulder and Singapore. Our traders work hard to provide liquidity to the market through their market-making activities and are the masters of a diverse set of commodities interest rates exchange-traded funds (ETF) and equity index options. Riverside Capital Markets (RCM) is a joint venture between our five founding partners and Belvedere Trading. Our teams specialize in Market Making and Quantitative Trading in Equity & ETF Options ETFs Futures and Futures Options. We have teams based in New York Chicago and remote locations that utilize both internal and external software solutions for trading. We look for savvy individuals and teams who are looking to help build great businesses in the trading landscape.

Our team is seeking a Software Engineer to help design build and support highperformance trading systems. This role is ideal for engineers early in their careers who want meaningful ownership exposure to complex technical problems and the opportunity to work closely with quantitative traders and experienced engineers in a fastpaced environment.

You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle while developing systems that are reliable performant and aligned with business objectives. Were looking for engineers who are intellectually curious and motivated tocontinually evolve and develop.

What Youll Do

Design develop and enhance scalable extensible applications that support realtime trading across multiple asset classes
Implement test deploy and maintain performancecritical systems with a focus on reliability and correctness
Troubleshoot and support production applications in timesensitive environments
Collaborate with engineers quantitative researchers and project stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Write clean maintainable and welltested code that meets high quality standards
Analyze and solve complex technical problems balancing performance readability and extensibility
Participate in code reviews and apply best practices in software design and development
Continuously learn about trading systems markets andnew technologiesthrough handson work and team knowledge sharing

What Youll Need

13 years of professional software development experience (or equivalent internships coops or applied project work)
Experience across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle including design implementation testing and support
Strong foundationin computer science fundamentals such as data structures algorithms and objectoriented design
Experience building performant reliable orhighly availablesystems (academic professional or personal projects)
Ability to reason about tradeoffs and chooseappropriate toolsor approaches for a given problem
A strong senseof ownership and accountability for the systems you help build
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously learn and improve

$140000 - $155000 a year
