Urology MD role in Shelton CT Direct Hire Outpatient
Job Title:Urologist (MD/DO) Outpatient Location:Shelton CT Practice Type:Direct Hire / OutpatientBased Surgical Focus:Outpatient Robotic (DaVinci)
Position Overview
We are seeking a boardcertified or boardeligible Urologist to join an established outpatientfocused urology practice in Shelton CT. The position offers a directhire longterm opportunity with a strong emphasis on outpatient care including roboticassisted surgery with access to advanced robotic platforms at a nearby hospital partner. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a full spectrum of general urologic conditions and building a multiyear practice in a growing community.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients with general urologic conditions including benign and malignant prostate disease urolithiasis voiding dysfunction male infertility and adrenal/renal pathology.
Provide outpatient consultations diagnostic workups and nonsurgical management in a clinicbased setting.
Perform and participate in roboticassisted urologic procedures (e.g. robotic prostatectomy partial nephrectomy) in collaboration with the hospital partner.
Coordinate care with referring primary care providers nephrology oncology and other specialists as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records adhere to coding and documentation standards and support quality and safety initiatives.
Participate in call coverage as defined by the practice and hospital structure (typically light or shared call model).
Practice Environment
Outpatientbased practice with hospital and OR privileges at a nearby community hospital equipped with robotic technology.
Modern EMR system support staff and established referral network in the Greater New Haven/Shelton area.
Collaborative culture with other urologists and surgical specialists; emphasis on worklife balance and sustainable volume.
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of an ACGMEaccredited urology residency.
Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
Eligible for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license and DEA registration.
Experience or training in roboticassisted urologic surgery preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in an outpatient setting while collaborating effectively with a team.
