Im currently working on an opportunity for a Maintenance Control & Instrumentation Electrician to join a generation facility in Dublin.
This is a hands-on role within a high-performing maintenance team focused on keeping plant operations running safely reliably and efficiently across a complex power generation environment.
Youll be working across a wide range of electrical and control & instrumentation systems supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities. Its a role that suits someone who is comfortable fault-finding in live environments and can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
What youll be doing:
Carrying out planned and reactive electrical and C&I maintenance
Fault finding testing and repair of plant equipment
Installation troubleshooting and commissioning of systems
Working on equipment such as transformers generators switchgear motors and valves
Maintaining accurate records through CMMS systems
Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
Operating under safe systems of work and site safety procedures
Supporting wider maintenance and project activities as required
What Im looking for:
25 years experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments (thermal hydro renewables or similar)
Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems and/or C&I systems
Experience with instrumentation calibration and electrical testing equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs
Strong safety mindset and team collaboration
Good organisational and IT skills
Nice to have:
Experience with permit systems
MEWP certification
Supervisory experience
Additional testing certifications
Requirements:
Electrical trade qualification (SOLAS / FÁS or equivalent)
Full driving licence
Flexibility for callouts when required
