Labourer, Highway Maintenance- Red Deer (Summer Seasonal)

Conditions

• Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work (No Camp or LOA provided)

• As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns some shift work on-call and night shift will be required

• Will be provided a pay rate of $20.50 to $23.75 per hour based on experience

• Night shift premium $3/hr

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform various highway maintenance tasks including crack sealing asphalt patching flagging message painting etc.
• Assist with traffic control procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Perform other road maintenance duties as required
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks

• Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and a clear 3-year drivers abstract

• Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or Flagging experience is a strong asset
