Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Cardiology / Invasive Cardio
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-hour shifts (Start times: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 9:00 AM 5:30 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with strong Invasive Cardiology experience to support a high-performing cardiovascular team. This role involves assisting in a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures (scrubbing circulating monitoring and recording hemodynamics)
- Operate interventional radiology and cardiovascular equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Provide direct patient care ensuring physical and emotional comfort before during and after procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields including setup and breakdown of procedure trays
- Administer contrast media under physician direction
- Safely transfer and position patients for procedures
- Perform routine equipment cleaning safety checks and preventive maintenance
- Maintain inventory and ensure availability of required supplies
- Support workflow efficiency and departmental productivity
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Procedural Experience Required
Endovascular / Diagnostic Procedures:
- Aortogram (LE UE Visceral)
- Carotid studies
- AV fistula procedures
Interventional Procedures:
- Peripheral interventions (LE UE Visceral)
- Embolization
- IVC filter placement
- Thrombolytics (Lytics)
- Dialysis access procedures
- Quinton catheter placement
- TIPS procedures
- PICC line placement
- Biopsies
Non-Vascular Procedures:
- Drain placements
- G/J tube placements
- Nephrostomy/Kidney tubes
- Biliary procedures
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS):
- Associates degree in Cardiovascular Technology OR
- Associates degree with 3 years recent Cath Lab experience
- RCIS certification required
OR
Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist:
- 5 years recent EP experience
OR - Any two: CI VI or RCIS certifications
OR
Special Procedures Technologist:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registered
- State licensure (if applicable)
- 2 years radiology experience or recent special procedures experience
- Advanced-level roles require additional certifications or 35 years Cath Lab/IR experience
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- IABP (Intra-aortic Balloon Pump) required
