JOB OVERVIEW:
The Post-Doctoral Psychologist will participate in the CFAs interdisciplinary assessment treatment and consultation programs. This individual will complete evaluations and follow-up appointments for children and individuals requiring a diagnosis to determine treatment or program placement. The Post-Doctoral Psychologist will also have the opportunity to complete intake assessments and carry an outpatient caseload. The Psychologist will participate in trainings to further professional development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform comprehensive and specialty assessments including diagnostic and treatment evaluations at all CFA locations.
- Perform detailed and accurate assessment and treatment of clients with ASD ages 1 to adult.
- Complete IBHS re-evaluations and addendums for children diagnosed with autism.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Consult with the treatment team family support staff and parents to carry over any appropriate environmental adaptations.
- Maintain client charts and be responsible for obtaining consent signatures when necessary.
- Complete and submit all billing information for evaluation and treatment sessions.
- Ensure program compliance with The Center for Autisms policy and procedural guidelines.
- Ensure program compliance with all federal state and local laws.
- Participate in team meetings department meetings and required in-service programs.
- Conduct intake assessments as needed.
- Conduct individual group and family therapy sessions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD or PsyD from an accredited program in clinical psychology or school psychology
- Completion of a psychology internship (APA preferred)
- Specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Training and experience in administering and scoring standardized measures (e.g. ADOS-2) preferred
- Familiarity with and ability to use other standardized measures such as SCQ SRS-2 Ages and Stages BASC-3 etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee must have the ability to access all parts of the service area of The Center for Autism.

It is the policy of The Center for Autism that clinical records are the property of The Center for Autism and shall be current and accurate. Clinical records are only accessible on a need-to-know basis and may not be duplicated removed from the facility or discussed outside the facility. Any staff member who is entrusted with a clinical record is responsible for safeguarding the information in the record against loss defacement tampering or use by unauthorized persons. Progress notes must be secured at all times. Except as required by law the written consent of the client parent family or other legally responsible parties is required for the release of clinical record information.
