WhatYoullDo
The LogisticsManagerarranges the most cost-effective method of shipping the companys fixtures and displays to meet customer delivery requirementsand oversees all aspects of Logistics for DCI.
Coordinate a variety oflogisticsrequests and activities for domestic and international shipments of all company projects
Obtain competitive freight quotes including national average pricing requests
Determineappropriate carrierand method of shipment for customer and supplier shipments based on order and project requirements
Book shipments with carriers and arrange pickups as requestedvia carrier portals email etc.
Prepare international documentation per country regulations
Create load diagrams using company software toassistwith freight estimatesas needed
Serve as a key contact for company suppliersproviding assistancewithlogisticsprocesses and requirements and ensuring compliance
Coordinate internal product movements between warehouses and suppliers
Track shipment progress for time-sensitive shipments and monitor for delays resolving fulfillment issues
Review code and approve freight invoices for payment
Update internal systems with product and carton dimension information
Process and file damage loss claims with transportation providersand follow up ona timelybasis to ensure payment of claims are made
Maintainlogisticsdocumentation including customer routing guides international documents and documents related to compliance regulations
Assistandmanage3PL implementationand Shipping software implementationprocessesand internal training
AssistOperations Managerwith Fed Ex/UPS leverage spend initiatives and all other freight related spend initiatives as
Track pertinent KPIson a monthly basisto be reported to Operations Manager on carrier performance and spend

3 years relatedlogisticsexperience
Associates Degree(or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)orBachelors Degree
Experience and/or background with importing and exporting procedures requirements and execution
Demonstrated problem solving customer service and teamwork skills in afast pacedenvironment
Proven success managing multiple priorities whilemaintaininga high levelof accuracy
Ability to handle a flexible work schedule to accommodate time-sensitive shipment requirements
Proficient computer skills including Word Excel Outlook ERPsystems carrier portalsystemsetc.
