Senior Solutions Engineer Systems Integration serves as a technical owner for how BESS subsystems come together electrically and functionally in the field ensuring safe reliable and performant operation across diverse project environments.

Key Responsibilities

BESS Product Development & Integration

• Lead endtoend systems engineering for BESS products from requirements definition through deployment and operation.

• Develop and maintain systemlevel requirements interface control documents (ICDs) specifications and compliance matrices.

• Integrate multiple subsystems including energy storage PCS safety controls and communications.

• Review and approve BESS electrical and controls designs including schematics wiring diagrams BOMs and integration documentation.

• Interpret and apply applicable BESS safety codes and standards (UL IEC NFPA IFC etc).

• Support prototype builds certification testing and production transition ensuring systemlevel validation and qualification plans are aligned with applicable BESS codes standards and project requirements.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of BESS integration practices.

Project Support

• Serve as a technical authority for BESS system architecture and integration into utilityscale projects.

• Troubleshoot complex electrical controls and systemlevel issues on deployed BESS assets.

• Perform root cause analysis for field failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.

• Serve as a technical representative supporting the full product lifecycle by participating in permitting and local jurisdiction discussions managing integration risks and enabling longterm operational performance improvements.

• Deliver technical guidance and training to internal and external teams related to BESS safety and emergency response.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or related discipline.

• 7 years of experience in BESS or complex electromechanical system development and integration.

• Strong experience with electrical systems energy storage controls and power electronics.

• Experience working across multiple OEMs and integrators.

• Proven ability to support fielded systems and postinstallation troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with BESS standards such as UL 9540 / 9540A and applicable electrical codes.

Experience with BESS safety standards and compliance including UL 9540 / 9540A NFPA 855 NFPA 110 / 111 NFPA 72 NFPA 68 / 69.

• Willingness to travel to factories and project sites (25%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in Electrical Mechanical or Systems Engineering.

• Experience with utilityscale BESS deployments.

• Handson experience with battery and electrical test equipment.

The expected salary for this position at commencement of employment is between $113000 and $141525/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus.
