Job Summary
Overview
Element has an opportunity for an NDT Director. The Business Development Director is an enterprise seller assigned to the highest accounts by sector.
In this role you will be responsible for growing our business across all of our NDT operations with strategic addition the NDT Technical Director will develop and lead technology advancements across our NDT labs leverage and standardize best practices lead and oversee new work development activities perform capacity planning and capital strategy and drive process improvements across NDT.
Responsibilities
- Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
- Achieve sales goals by converting retaining and penetrating new and existing accounts Represent company at industry association meetings to promote company and services offered Develop NDT best practices and standardize across the business unit
- Provide technical oversight to CapEx related to NDT and lead technology / equipment strategy to advance our market position
- Develop people strategy that supports internal / external NDT staffing and maximizes revenue and profitability; harmonize NDT training / cert programs
- Develop gap analysis for customer / industry approvals and develop / execute strategy to lead the industry Act as the NDT subject matter expert support tradeshows and ASTM ASME NADCAP and other industry committees
Skills / Qualifications
- 10 years combined experience in NDT lab general management NDT technician NDT Level 3 is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering preferred or commensurate work experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer quotes / contracts marketing materials and customer testing specifications
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Must have valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record under Elements policy Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX and CRM Outlook Word Excel)
- Availability flexibility and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events / projects in the community with customers and within the company
- Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect
- Ability to interface with clients win new work and determine their requirements; helps develop proposals including cost estimates work plan and terms and conditions
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time including overnight travel
