The Opportunity

KBR is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support Australias Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) program one of the nations most strategically significant Defence initiatives. This role will lead complex procurement and contracting activities supporting sovereign capability outcomes while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth and Defence frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement and contract management activities
• Drive industry engagement (workshops briefings tenders forums)
• Manage CASG elements of Industry Engagement Strategies & Plans
• Draft and review ASDEFCON contracts and procurement documentation
• Support tender evaluations negotiations and contract award
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
• Provide expert advice on commercial strategy and submissions
• Deliver guidance on probity ethics and compliance frameworks
• Build strong relationships across Defence industry and internal teams
• Support training and capability uplift in procurement practices

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

• 5 years experience in commercial procurement or contracting roles
• Strong knowledge of Defence / Commonwealth procurement frameworks
• Proven experience with ASDEFCON and complex contracts
• Background in tendering evaluations and negotiations
• Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and risk management capability
• Tertiary qualification in Business Law Engineering Finance or similar
• Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible.
