Technical Director, Pickering Retube Tooling Systems

Overview

The Technical Director Retube Tooling Systems is a senior leadership role within our nuclear engineering organization providing strategic and technical direction to advance Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) capabilities. This position sits within the tooling and engineering function and leads the development of innovative highperformance nuclear life extension tooling. The role offers the opportunity to shape industryleading solutions for C6 CANDU refurbishment programs while building and sustaining a highperforming multidisciplinary engineering team.

Your Role

• To provide strategic leadership for the development and modernization of Retube Tooling System capabilities in alignment with longterm OEM objectives.
• To lead the design and execution of advanced nuclear tooling solutions with a focus on performance maintainability and safety.
• To build mentor and sustain a technically competent multidisciplinary team of engineers designers and technicians.
• To promote and embed a strong nuclear safety culture aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• To strengthen engagement with customers vendors and industry stakeholders through seniorlevel technical leadership.
• To oversee departmental budgets resource planning and adherence to engineering governance and quality frameworks.
• To drive innovation continuous improvement succession planning and knowledge transfer across the organization.

About You

• Ability to provide strategic and technical leadership in complex nuclear engineering and tooling environments.
• Proficiency in nuclear plant systems regulatory frameworks and lifeextension tooling for CANDU reactors.
• Aptitude for leading and developing highperforming knowledgebased engineering teams.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders customers and industry partners.
• Proficiency in engineering governance quality assurance and safe field execution practices.
