Job Title: Sleep Technician (Respiratory)
Location: Falmouth MA
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM 6:30 PM Fixed Schedule)
Duration: 14 Weeks (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (5 Days 8-Hour Shifts)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Sleep Technician (Respiratory) to support the daily operations of a busy sleep lab within an acute care setting. This role involves conducting diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies ensuring patient safety and comfort and collaborating closely with physicians to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up calibrate and maintain sleep lab equipment and monitoring systems
- Perform polysomnographic studies and other sleep-related diagnostic tests
- Monitor patients throughout studies ensuring safety and accurate data collection
- Assist physicians with sleep evaluations and procedures
- Document procedures observations and results in compliance with clinical standards
- Perform therapeutic interventions for sleep disorders as directed
- Provide patient care across all age groups (pediatric through geriatric)
- Maintain inventory and ensure availability of necessary supplies
- Follow all departmental policies safety standards and regulatory guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in sleep lab operations and polysomnography
- Strong patient monitoring and clinical care skills
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot specialized medical equipment
- Excellent communication organization and time management abilities
Education
- Completion of an accredited program in Sleep Technology or Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
Certifications
- Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) Required
- Current CPR Certification Required
