The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Accountant to join the Midwest Financial Reporting team in Hazelwood MO.

This is a significant opportunity for Subject Matter Expert (SME) development in accounting and financial reporting acumen. The selected individual will be a team member of the Midwest Financial Reporting group. The positions focus will be coordination of subsidiary consolidations Deloitte (D&T) prepared by client focal and other closing and reporting responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) subsidiaries and consolidations

  • Processes and posts applicable journal entries

  • Coordinates Deloitte prepared by client listing and other requests

  • Reconciles and manages inter-company out of balance issues independently

  • Gathers data and prepares schedules for disclosures in Boeing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings

  • Assists in variance analysis. Performs Blackline balance sheet reconciliations

  • Performs and reviews Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and Footnote tie-out

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance business or a related field

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or qualified to obtain the CPA certification within 18 months from hire date

  • 3 years of experience with financial reporting

  • 3 years of experience creating Financial Statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in multi-tasking and managing shifting priorities and deadlines

  • Experience with attention to detail

  • Experience working independently and in a team environment

  • Experience working with large companies with working knowledge of US GAAP

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Excel

  • Experience working with Peoplesoft or Boeings EAS and consolidation systems
