Job Summary

What You Will Do:Ensure horse racing industry participants are appropriately licensed prior to race day by monitoring reports and following up on licensing in-person customer service at racetrack licensing offices and respond to inquiries from applicants and licensees by phone and participants with using the AGCOs online licensing portal (iAGCO) including account setup and application and process new and renewal licensing race day reports and provide support to Racing Officials Commission Veterinarians and other on-site AGCO personnel as and process licensing fees and fines and perform related administrative tasks to support racetrack licensing Have: Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and a strong customer service knowledge of the Rules of Standardbred Racing the Rules of Thoroughbred Racing the Horse Racing Licence Act 2015 and its regulations and the Criminal Code of Canada as well as the AGCOs Rules of sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced regulatory with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint) with the ability to quickly learn new systems and AGCO-specific licensing of licensing procedures process manuals and racetrack operational of health and safety practices in a racetrack or live animal to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive and personal to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with flexibility to adapt to changing to work weekends evenings and statutory holidays as part of a rotational schedule aligned with live racing operations (see below).Eligibility to work in Canada and the ability to successfully complete a criminal background to Have:Experience working in a regulatory licensing or compliance environment particularly within a customer-facing service of administrative processes such as record keeping reporting and document management in a regulated in a horse racing or racetrack operational processing payments reconciliations or using point-of-sale (POS) using online service portals licensing systems or case management working in high-volume customer service environments across in-person phone and email : The anticipated start date for this position is immediate to allow for training and horse racing occurs year-round including weekends and statutory Licensing Agent is required to work on-site at the racetrack office during live race days (approximately 45 days per week) with additional time required at the racetrack office or remotely to complete pre- and post-race reporting and related the RaceDayCalendar for a schedule of race dates and post times.
