ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The VP Commercial Relationship Manager II (CRM II) is a senior growth-oriented banking professional responsible for sourcing developing and managing high-value commercial banking relationships. This role is focused on driving meaningful deposit and loan growth expanding the Banks presence in the market and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders. As a Vice President this individual is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy demonstrate leadership within the organization and contribute to broader strategic initiatives including market expansion client experience and team development. While the VP CRM II may manage a portfolio of strategic client relationships the primary objective remains generating net-new business through proactive prospecting community engagement and relationship development.
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Proactively identify prospect and acquire new commercial banking clients with a strong emphasis on core deposit growth treasury management and high-quality loan production.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with Bank growth objectives and market opportunities.
- Consistently achieve or exceed production goals across deposits loans and fee income.
- Lead all stages of the sales process including prospecting qualification needs assessment structuring solutions negotiation closing and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through centers of influence referral networks and community engagement.
- Partner closely with Treasury Management Credit and Loan Administration to structure and deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Serve as a senior relationship manager for key client relationships providing strategic guidance and ensuring a high level of responsiveness and service.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through cross-sell of the Banks full suite of products and services.
Leadership & Internal Collaboration
- Provide informal leadership mentorship and guidance to Relationship Managers Portfolio Managers Credit Analysts and other team members.
- Serve as a key contributor to internal initiatives including process improvements product development feedback and workflow enhancements.
- Collaborate with leadership on market strategy pipeline visibility and business development planning.
- Support a culture of accountability responsiveness and strong client experience across teams.
- Participate in internal committees sales meetings and strategic discussions as requested by senior management.
Community Engagement & Brand Building
- Represent the Bank as a senior ambassador in the community enhancing visibility and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders nonprofit organizations and centers of influence.
- Identify and support strategic sponsorships partnerships and community initiatives aligned with the Banks brand and growth goals.
- Act as a liaison between the market and the Bank providing insights to leadership on trends opportunities and client needs.
Industry & Market Leadership
- Maintain a high level of expertise in financial markets economic conditions and industry trends both locally and nationally.
- Develop deep knowledge of target industry verticals (e.g. real estate professional services construction nonprofits).
- Utilize market intelligence to position the Bank competitively and advise clients strategically.
- Stay informed on banking technology and evolving client expectations helping guide the Banks approach to innovation.
- Provide input to senior leadership on market conditions competitive positioning and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- 8-12 years of experience consisting of a proven successful track record as a Business Development Officer / Relationship Manager or other similar role with a financial institution.
- Demonstrated success in originating and managing complex commercial relationships including loans and deposits.
- Strong credit acumen including financial statement and tax return analysis and experience working with complex credit structures.
- B.S. degree in Finance Accounting or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial banking products treasury management and lending processes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and bank policies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence lead and collaborate across teams.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members preferred.
- Strong communication presentation and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- The positions pay range starts anywhere between $100000 $140000 annually plus quarterly incentive compensation plan based upon individual revenue generation
