As the Schenectady Plant Leader you will drive safe high-quality efficient operations at Onshore Winds manufacturing factory located in Schenectady NY. This Plant Leader plays a key role in the U.S. and global supply chain as the factory delivers key turbine components for our industry-leading Onshore Wind business. As the Plant Leader you will lead a multi-faceted team build site safety culture deliver quality products lead with LEAN and drive operation results aligned to customer deliverables.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Establish and lead attainment of plant goals related to Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC)

• Drive operating mechanisms and culture to ensure behaviors consistent with compliance quality system and EHS requirements

• Work with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver with quality to our customers and meet business commitments

• Collaborate across all functions including engineering sourcing and projects to achieve SQDC deliverables

• Provide strategic leadership and a vision across the site related to investments workforce planning technology and all aspects of the plant

• Collaborate across the manufacturing plant network to benchmark best practices and drive standard work/processes across similar manufacturing processes

• Ensure alignment with the overall business S&OP and deliver on financial commitments.

• Drive continuous improvement through implementation of Lean principles and culture

• Shape and build a strong culture focused on safety quality delivering on commitments and continuous improvement while enabling and supporting high employee engagement

• Champion talent development across the team. Develop coach mentor and guide team members to successful outcomes

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant Manufacturing & Supply Chain experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant people leadership/managerial experience

• Knowledge of manufacturing leadership disciplines including production planning inventory control variable cost productivity fulfilment quality and cost systems

• Excellent communication with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (shop floor to CEO)

• Proven change management skills

  Lean mindset with demonstrated results applying Lean tools to improve business operations

• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $192000 and $264000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
