We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to design develop and validate advanced power systems with a strong focus on Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-performance power amplifiers and real-time simulation environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Setup Operate and maintain power electronic equipment and/or systems for advanced applications.
- Operate and support 4-quadrant (4Q) linear power amplifiers for dynamic and bidirectional power flow applications.
- Implement and validate Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) setups for system-level testing.
- Integrate real-time simulation platforms with hardware systems.
- Perform system validation debugging and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with control simulation and firmware teams to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
- Document designs test procedures and validation results.

Qualifications and Required Work Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong experience with 4Q linear power amplifiers (operation application and maintenance).
- Proven expertise in Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) systems.
- Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals (converters inverters control strategies switching devices PWM techniques).
- Experience with real-time testing and validation environments.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with FPGA-based emulators for PHIL systems.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Opal-RT dSPACE or similar.
- Proficiency in electrical system modeling and analysis.
- Experience with real-time digital simulators (RTDS) or similar environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Power Electronics or related field.
- 3 years of relevant industry or research experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
