The Decision Advantage division at Leidos currently has an opening for aSenior Model BasedSystems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Department of the Air Force at Beale AFB or Alexandria VA.
We areseekinga highly skilled and experiencedSenior Model-Based Systems Engineerwho will be instrumental in advancing our systems engineering practices for thecustomer. In this role you will lead the development maintenance andutilizationof system models to define analyze and manage complex system requirements and architectures. You will drive the adoption and implementation of MBSE methodologies and tools ensuring that future requirements are documented with a robust system model tofacilitateagile development and enhance traceability. This position requires deepexpertisein system modeling languages architecture definition and the ability to integrate MBSE into Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) cadences. You will play a critical role in providing expert recommendations for the decomposition and prioritization of requirements ensuring alignment with operational outcomes within a highly secure multi-level classification environment.
The successful candidate will bring transformative MBSEexpertiseto drive robust traceable and agile development of criticalcapabilities into the program.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in systems engineering with a significant focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) on large-scale complex government programs preferably within theDoWor Air Force.Additionalyears of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
Demonstrated experience in developingmaintaining andutilizingsystem models to define analyze and manage system requirements architectures and designs.
Provenexperience in deriving analyzing and providing expert recommendations for the decomposition and prioritization of requirementsfor complex integrated software and hardware systems within Command and Control (C2) and Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) environments.
Experience inSysMLdiagramming tools (Cameo System Modeler IBM Rhapsody etc.).
Experience inmaintainingand updating system architectures includingExternal Interface Control Documents (EICD)and architecture artifacts (e.g. OV-I OV-2 sequence diagrams use cases) within a model-based environment.
Proficiencywith Enterprise Agile Planning Tools (EAPT) such as Jira Align and project management tools like Jira and Confluence with an understanding of how to link model elements to backlog items.
Solid understanding ofDevSecOpsprinciples and how MBSE supports automated CI/CD pipelines by providing clear executable specifications.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including program management systems engineering software cyber test operations and government customers.
Desired Skills:
Experience with defense mission systems command and control platforms or systemsoperatingin operationally sensitive environments.
Familiarity withOpen Architecture (OA)orOpen Mission Systems (OMS)concepts.
Practical experience incorporating SE criteria into the Definition of Ready and SE artifacts into the Definition of Done for featuresleveragingmodel-based insights.
Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior program leadership and government stakeholders.
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP or CSEP).
OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals).
SAP Program experience preferred

Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
