Room Attendant Self Checker

• Clean guest rooms bathrooms corridors and storage areas as allocated

• Ensure rooms are cleaned and presented to hotel standards prior to guest occupancy

• Replenish guest amenities supplies and linen according to room type requirements

• Carry out scheduled and routine cleaning duties as per hotel procedures

• Handle guest laundry in accordance with hotel policies

• Report lost property in line with hotel procedures

• Use and maintain cleaning equipment safely and report any faults

• Follow correct procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of housekeeping equipment and storage areas

• Assist with stock checks and housekeeping supplies when required

• Ensure security of guest rooms keys and hotel property at all times

• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the supervisor

• Support other team members with cleaning duties when required

• Ensure rooms are reported as clean and ready using hotel systems

Qualifications :

• At least 6 months of experience in housekeeping cleaning or commercial cleaning roles (hotel experience preferred)

• Ability to clean and maintain guest rooms public areas or commercial spaces to a professional standard

• Basic understanding of cleaning procedures hygiene standards and safe chemical handling

• Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks within allocated timeframes

• Good attention to detail and consistency in cleaning standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic communication skills to follow instructions and report issues

• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including standing bending lifting and repetitive tasks

• Wages NZD 28.53 per hour
