The Floor Maintenance Representative is required to work in climate-controlled as well as non-climate-controlled areas. The associate is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of all Warehouse facilities in addition to performing grounds maintenance. He or she maintains the safety/sanitation/security of the Warehouse environment and appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures.

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Six months of experience in a similar position strongly preferred
• Experience in operating an electric pallet jack forklift and other power equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain the upkeep of the logistics facility
• Empty all wastebaskets and trash cans
• Load plastic and/or cardboard into the plastic or cardboard bailer
• Operate floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers to ensure that floors are kept clean
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all common floor areas
• Clear debris from the outside parking and lawn areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Able to work around moving vehicles and equipment with some dust and fumes from power equipment and vehicles

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

• Regular reliable attendance required
• Able to safely operate a hand truck pallet jack and/or forklift and floor scrubber
• Able to stand and walk reach with arms and hands lift and carry and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
• Able to perform greater than average lifting (up to 45 lbs) with some overhead lifting required
• Able to frequently climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl
• Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision distance vision and the ability to judge distance
• Must be flexible to perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks
