JOB TITLE: Chief Financial Officer
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading Intrepids Finance function including Accounting Financial Planning & Analysis Treasury Tax Internal Audit Information Technology Strategic Sourcing and Investor Relations. The CFO provides strategic and operational financial leadership to support the Companys business strategy growth objectives and operational execution.
This role serves as a key strategic thought partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team and requires significant interaction with the Board of Directors. The CFO develops and executes a finance roadmap that enhances financial performance ensures strong governance and controls and supports longterm shareholder value creation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction over all aspects of the Companys finance accounting tax treasury internal audit IT strategic sourcing and investor relations functions.
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team contributing to enterprise strategy annual operating plans budgets and longrange forecasts.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to commercial and operations leaders by delivering timely financial analysis performance insights benchmarks and recommendations that drive profitable growth and operational improvement.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis processes including forecasting variance analysis performance dashboards and key business metrics to monitor Company performance against internal targets and external guidance.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate timely and compliant financial reporting including SEC filings tax filings and internal management reporting ensuring adherence to GAAP SOX and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Companys financial controls accounting systems and compliance processes; continuously assess and strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors; support Board and Committee meetings with clear concise and transparent financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead capital markets activities and investor relations efforts including engagement with analysts shareholders lenders and rating agencies ensuring consistent and credible external communication.
  • Oversee capital structure liquidity and treasury activities including debt management cash forecasting and optimization of working capital.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Information Technology function to ensure systems reliability data integrity cybersecurity and alignment with business needs.
  • Oversee Strategic Sourcing to develop and execute longterm sourcing strategies that optimize cost quality supplier performance and risk management.
  • Recruit develop and retain top finance and related functional talent; foster a culture of accountability transparency high performance and ethical conduct.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or a related field required; MBA CPA or equivalent advanced credential preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience including senior executive responsibility in finance accounting and capital markets.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with a Board of Directors and Board Committees.
  • Strong background in public company financial reporting internal controls and regulatory compliance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in private equitybacked entrepreneurial or asset-intensive industries (e.g. energy manufacturing industrial services real estate).
  • Exposure to M&A integration or organizational restructuring.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leaders and operations teams.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive financial and strategic information.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership and the Board.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning capital markets accounting internal controls and enterprise risk management.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills with a resultsoriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • High degree of integrity sound judgment and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and respond effectively to changing business conditions.
  • Proven leader with experience building highperforming teams and developing future leaders.
  • Proficient in financial systems reporting tools and standard business software applications.
WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. The noise level is usually quiet. The role requires extended periods of sitting reading typing and participating in meetings. Occasional travel may be required to Company operating locations investor meetings and Board or external stakeholder engagements.

  • May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
When the incumbent visits an operations worksite personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection hearing protection safety glasses safety shoes and flame-resistant clothing may be required.
Travel is expected approximately 10%20% to operating locations in Utah and New Mexico.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Targeted salary range for this position is $380000-$430000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience and skill set.
