The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair of building systems equipment and facilities. This role ensures a safe functional and wellmaintained environment by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00/hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicants experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data.
401(k) You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions dollar for dollar for the first 3%. For the next 2% ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical lighting and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and facility issues
- Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
- Perform basic carpentry painting drywall flooring and minor renovations as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety standards building codes and company policies
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when required
- Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required2 years of experience in building maintenance facilities or a related field preferred
Working knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
Ability to read blueprints manuals and technical documents
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand walk bend kneel and climb ladders or stairs regularly
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions
