The creation of the Biomedical Center in Wichita will increase the complex structure of KUMCs presence in Wichita. It carries Clery Act risks concerns with increased visitors to the building/campus and new opportunities. To address those needs OCRTIX needs stronger representation in Wichita to meet those needs and to seize those opportunities. OCRTIX is creating a new position that will address all areas of OCRTIXs responsibilities including but not limited to Clery Act compliance Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act compliance civil rights reporting and compliance at the Wichita campus with some assistance serving Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) and KUMC-Salina and support for education and training initiatives.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated detail-oriented and a strong communicator. They will have the aptitude to work independently multitask take initiative the ability to adapt and handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Additionally they must be able to take direction display strong ethical decision-making and work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple campuses.
The Program Manager will serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator conduct intake meetings with potential complainants present on targeted issues as well as general OCRTIX subjects and represent OCRTIX among KUMC-related Wichita constituents.
Reporting to the OCRTIX Director of Intake Outreach Compliance and Operations with a dotted line to the KUMC Director of Impact and Belonging this position partners with colleagues across the larger One University office to advance institutional priorities.

- Assist in the development and facilitation of educational training opportunities for KU/KUMC community members staff faculty and/or students.
- Regularly attend and participate in OCRTIX Education & Training Programs team meetings review assessment data and adapt training materials/practices in response to data.
- As applicable review training offerings and educational resources providing thoughtful and detailed feedback to OCRTIX team and campus stakeholders.
- Broaden One University knowledge and understanding of OCRTIX with innovative materials and strong campus partnerships.
- Identify need for and distribute new outreach materials (presentations posters tabling handouts etc.) for OCRTIX in partnership with other OCRTIX team members.
- Identify need for materials in response to emerging needs and trends (e.g. in response to intakes) at Wichita KLETC and Salina campuses.
- Assist Case Manager and other members of OCRTIX in creating and maintaining list/knowledge of resources for all campuses and instructional sites.
- Provide assistance and support to Directors of Program Alignment with heritage month and series programming for all campuses as needed.
- Assist the Director of Clery Compliance (Director) and Clery Program Coordinator with the University of Kansas Clery Act Compliance program. Maintain implement update and communicate KUs Clery Compliance policies program activities and procedures internally and externally.
- Act as a liaison to campus departments local law enforcement agencies and the state police in formulation of data records facilitate information sharing and compilation of annual reports. Analyze interpret and consolidate data from these sources with information and policies from various sources.
- With the Clery Program Coordinator work with the appropriate departments to identify all Campus Security Authorities and maintain a list of them for each academic year. Provide facilitate or manage the training of identified Campus Security Authorities collaborating with appropriate offices.
- Coordinate with the appropriate campus departments to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Work with the institutional police departments/public safety records division to ensure proper classification of crime incident reports.
- Collaborate with the Director to ensure compliance with the Emergency Notification and Timely Warning requirements of the Clery Act.
- Work with various institutional offices to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) Safe Campus Stop Campus Hazing Act Violence Against Womens Act (VAWA) and Sexual Assault Victims Bill of Rights.
- Receive reports about discrimination harassment sexual violence and/or related retaliation. Provide those reports to Associate Vice Chancellor & Title IX Coordinator for OCRTIX for appropriate outreach and processing.
- Meet with complainants of reports to explain OCRTIX explain processes discuss the report explore support measures and perform appropriate follow-up.
- Provide assistance to complainants as they consider available options (e.g. support measures informal resolution and/or whether to submit a formal complaint).
- Utilize conduct management software (Maxient and departmental drive) to perform appropriate administrative management of assigned intakes.
- Communicate and coordinate with campus partners regarding DFSCA compliance and distribution of reports.
- Gather information to support Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program (DAAPP) and Biennial Review Report (BRR) document preparation.
- Assist campus partners in achieving greater compliance with DFSCA as well as accomplishing goals established in BRR.
- Participate in rotation with other staff on job searches and campus committees as needed.
- Regularly attend full OCRTIX staff meetings as well as supervisor 1:1s.
- Assist other staff members with special projects when needed.
- Other duties as assigned. As the OCRTIX and its work advance on campus position responsibilities may shift or change to meet office/staff needs.

- Bachelors Degree in Communications Criminal Justice Sociology Social Work Emergency Management or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through application materialsand/or references.
- Three (3) yearsexperience with Microsoft office suite products and databases.
- Four (4) years of experience working in higher education preferably with procedural or policy administration data analysis and reporting or other related compliance activities.
- One (1) year experience handling confidential information.
- Two (2) yearsexperience giving professional presentations and/or in public speaking roles.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in higher education; will consider full-time or part-time and previous experience complying with requirements of the Clery Act.
- Experience working with law enforcement offices and crime reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with the University of Kansas and/or University of Kansas Medical Center.
- Experience working with Maxient.
- Masters degree in Communications Criminal Justice Emergency Management Higher Education Sociology or related field.
- Work experience that required the ability to work independently while maintaining open lines of communication with others as evidenced by application materials.
- Work experience that required meticulous organizational skills; skill in analyzing organizational problems and identifying effective solutions as evidenced by application materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as evidenced by application materials.
