Some of these talented employees have the title of Process Coach-Tool & Die and are responsible for supporting teaching and coaching the work team (Team Leader and Team Members) to deliver key measurables that support score card targets as well as performing deep analysis of issues and continuous improvement by connecting results with the Andon the Process and the Inputs.

What Youll Do...
The Production Supervisor- Tool & Die position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training development and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are:

Responsibilities
What youll do...
Coach Safety Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
Communication and Recognition
Meet FTT inventory cost scrap supply and tooling expense targets
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
Coordination of Safety Operating System activities including overhead safety lifting and rigging and Energy Control and Lockout procedures
Lead skilled trades/die maintenance personnel to evaluate Die Readiness requirements for maintaining and improving production yields output and up time.
Supervise preventative maintenance schedules inspections and repairs to minimize down time
Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time
Responsible for monitoring day-to-day production processes Draw panel formability last hit process contamination investigation
Understanding and expertise in draw die forming maintenance of beads trim steels and pierce operations
Ability to coordinate major and minor die repairs
Determine and correct root cause of related downtime issues
Assist and teach die maintenance troubleshooting techniques to improve mean time between failure and mean time to repair
Ensure start-up readiness for production
Coordination of maintenance activities with other plant operations
Identify and ensure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are corrected and addressed
Performs other related duties.
Qualifications
Youll have...
High School Diploma or GED
1 years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to work rotating shifts and hours including nights and weekends
Position is currently for 1st shift: 10pm -6am however applicants must be open to work any shift and hours
Required Behavior
Fundamental working knowledge major automotive die forming
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members leaders business partners and customers
Highly committed to continuous improvement while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset
Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies
Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others
Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety quality and throughput
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors
Ability to multi-task
Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in Ford OS (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communication skills.

Bachelors Degree or completion of Die Maker apprenticeship
3-5 years automotive experience Body shop/stamping/subassembly experience preferred
Safety and quality experience
Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Knowledge of constraint management principles
Prior experience managing a unionized work force.
