About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ARDMSregistered Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team. Under the general supervision of an attending radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes highfrequency sound waves and advanced diagnostic techniques to produce highquality ultrasound images. These images support accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care across General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging services.

Schedule & Location

  • Status: Full-Time (.9 FTE)
  • Shift: Day Shift 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
  • Weekends/Holidays: Occasional Saturdays
  • Primary Location: Loyola Outpatient Center
  • Coverage: Rotational support at Burr Ridge and Tinley Park

Areas of Coverage

  • General Ultrasound
  • Breast Imaging including:
    • Breast ultrasoundguided biopsies
    • Diagnostic mammography ultrasound
    • Whole Breast Ultrasound

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols
  • Assist with breast ultrasoundguided biopsies and specialized breast imaging procedures
  • Accurately document and evaluate ultrasound images and related clinical data
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely and accurate diagnoses
  • Ensure patient comfort safety and privacy throughout all procedures
  • Maintain equipment follow safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements

Here is what youll need

Required:

  • ARDMSregistered Ultrasound
  • Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience
  • Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program;
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience
  • New Graduates: 9-month ultrasound coursework experience including clinical rotation with a minimum of 1680 total hours from an accredited program

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)-Specialization in Abdomen Ob/Gyn or PS
  • Other: New Graduate obtain certification within 3 months of hire

Other:

  • Registration within 3 months of hire in a minimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology required
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in ultrasound principles practices and techniques
  • Experience in General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Range: $39.00 $59.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
